Dear Renata,
Please except my deepest condolences on your loss of Jerome, I know this is an extremely sad time for you, and time will soften the wounds, but I also want to say I am glad Jerome has left to go onto a better place for him, how he lived in the last years is not fair to any human being and should be released.

I am glad the hospice house made things a bit better for you and am glad you made that choice , I did not and have often wondered if things would have been better had I chosen that route.

Please take of yourself now, it is your time, you did all you could while Jerome was on this earth!
Hugs to you!!

Renata,

I am so sorry to hear of Jerome's passing. You were a wonderful wife, companion and caregiver to him and did your best to make his last months comfortable and happy for him. Please, now take care of you, take the time to heal and rejuvenate yourself. You have been an inspiration and friend to all of us.

Dear Renata, my heartfelt condolences for Jerome's passing...
I am so sorry I have missed the post of the last few weeks... I had to undergo surgery (all went well luckily) and have been "out of play" for about 3 weeks.. it was stressful also because my dad worried himself sick, not being able to come to England and be near me at the time of the operation... All the time of convalescence I have been thinking of you and Jerome, and of course of all other people on this website, but somehow have not found the strength to log on... we have lost so many in these last few months and in some cases so suddenly... it has scared me very deeply to see (with Dianne and then with your news that Jerome had a life-threatening infection) how things can suddenly turn to the worse, and how one can be confronted with what seems to me the most impossible of choices, between treatment and non-treatment, and that you and Dianne, bravest of all, have been able to endure. I was still trying to find the words to comfort you after the news of the infection, and now I am shocked to learn that Jerome has left us all (we were used to him co-signing your emails...). Just wanted to say again how sorry I am, also for not writing earlier, but also thankful that his final suffering did not last too long and that the end was peaceful and loving. Sorry for the very long email. I pray for you to be strong and rest. Blessings.
